Jooyeon (“Zoe”) Lee joined the firm in 2022 following her judicial clerkship at the Third Judicial District of Iowa. She graduated from Seoul National University College of Law in South Korea and was awarded the Superior Academic Performance Scholarship. She earned her LL.M. from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law and her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. While at Iowa Law, she honed her legal analysis, writing, and research skills through internships at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, and the Office of the Cook County State’s Attorney along with a law journal and research assistant.
She is actively involved in the community, being a member of multiple associations of lawyers and serving on the board of directors at a non-profit organization for anti-human trafficking, Chains Interrupted. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and traveling.
